Sensational alternative rock and hip hop artists Linkin Park and Machine Gun Kelly are bringing their signature sounds to the PNC Music Pavilion!
Machine Gun Kelly (birth name Richard Colson Baker) was born in Houston in 1990 but due to his parents being missionaries, he moved around a lot and lived all over the US and abroad. His family finally settled in Denver and he began his musical journey by listening to rap music in middle school. He got acquainted with the genre through the music of Eminem, Ludacris, and DMX. He got his stage name from his rapid fire vocal delivery and he released his first demo tape (Stamp of Approval) in 2006. He kept honing his craft over the next few years and he had a breakthrough when he was featured on MTV2’s Sucker Free Freestyle. In 2010 he released his second mixtape (100 Words and Running) and his debut single (Alice in Wonderland) came out shortly thereafter. He got his biggest break in 2011 when he was approached by Sean Combs (aka Diddy) and offered a recording contract with his label (Bad Boy Records). He went on to have a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 6 singles, and 6 more mixtapes. He’s also won a MTV Music Award, MTV Europe Music Award, and an Underground Ohio Music Award.
