Kings of Leon, Tennessee’s sensational classic rock, garage rock, and Southern rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the PNC Music Pavilion!
Kings of Leon was formed in Nashville in 2000 by the Followill brothers (Caleb, Nathan, Jared Followill) and their cousin Matthew Followill. They named the band after their grandfather (Leon) and it currently consists of Caleb (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jared (bass, keyboard, synthesizer, backing vocals), Matthew (lead guitar, backing vocals), Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals) along with touring members Liam O'Neil (piano, keyboard, percussion, backing vocals) and Ethan Luck (rhythm guitar, keyboard, piano, percussion, backing vocals). Initially, their musical style was a blend of Southern and blues rock but over the years, it’s expanded to include many other genres and now has a more alternative and arena rock sound. They’ve had a stellar career with 7 studio albums, 1 live album, 2 compilation albums, 1 video album, 18 music videos, 5 extended plays, and 24 singles. They’ve performed at many renowned music festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Rock Werchter, Oxegen, T in the Park, Gurtenfestival, Open'er, Sasquatch, Lollapalooza, Firefly, and Austin City Limits. They’ve received many accolades including 7 Grammy Award nominations, of which they won 3 for Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and Best Rock Song.
